Michael Giesey (President)
Michael has served as the President of the CARD's Board of Directors since its creation in 2002. He came to Libby in 1980 to pursue his love of forestry. He works as a Forester with the U.S. Forest Service, where he has served for the past 25 years. He enjoys fixing things, gardening, hiking, backpacking, yard work, and auto-mechanic work. Mike is a volunteer ski patroller at Turner Mountain Ski Area and is the President of the ski patrol board. He is also a member of the Bull Lake Rod and Gun Club and the Libby Community Advisory Group.

LeRoy Thom (Vice President)
LeRoy has been a resident of Libby for the past 37 years and has been very involved with the relief for victims of asbestos related disease. He is a former W.R. Grace employee, where he worked for 17 years. He is a member of the Libby Community Advisory Group and attends Asbestos Related Disease Network meetings regularly. He is the President of the Asbestos Related Health Care Project, as well as the Treasurer of the Lincoln County Asbestos Victim's Relief Organization. LeRoy is also a local business owner of Montana Machine and Fabrication. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, softball, bow-hunting, and is an active bowler. He is married with three children and 3 grandchildren.

Jim Hopkins (Treasurer)
Jim worked for 26 years in Libby at the Zonolite Mine owned by W.R. Grace. Though he has since retired, Jim has been involved in emergency medicine for 40 years. During 13 of those years, he served in Libby on the ambulance as an Emergency Medical Technician. Today, Jim likes to take in all that Libby's natural setting has to offer. He enjoys boating, as well as fishing. He became a board member for the CARD, because he looked at the community that had given him so much and wanted to do something to help.

JoElyn Brus
JoElyn graduated from Marquette University. She then worked as a social worker for Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. Following, she moved to Denver with her family, where she also worked as a social worker. She and her husband moved to Libby in 1965, where he set up a surgical practice. She has received her Master's Degree from Gonzaga University in Education and was employed by the Libby School District for 23 years until her retirement. She is the proud mother of three and grandmother of four. JoElyn is active in many community groups including LATAG.

Nancy Hogan
In 2005 Nancy moved to Libby from California with her husband Bill. Bill grew up here and he also worked at the Zonolite Mine. She has two adult children and two granddaughters living in California. Nancy worked as a peri (pre)operative Registered Nurse and a certified Registered Nurse First Assistant before retiring to Libby. Nancy also holds a certificate as a private pilot and has enjoyed flying for 20 years; although mountain flying does present a challenge. My new hobbies are beekeeping and gardening. I am pleased to be the new member of the CARD board and hope to be as valuable to the board as the past and present members.

Michael Noble
Michael was born and raised here in Libby and is a proud member of the community. After attending Libby public schools, Michael worked at W.R. Grace for over 20 years as an electrician. Following his time there, he started Noble Excavating. Michael also worked at St. John's Lutheran Hospital for three years as a Maintenance Supervisor, after which time he started Noble Electric, Inc. Michael is a member of the Libby Area Technical Assistance Group (LATAG); the Libby Community Advisory Group - CAG and the Knights of Columbus. He is also active in his church. Today, Michael is retired and enjoys his volunteer activities, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Gary Roberts
Gary was raised in Libby and graduated from Libby High School in 1960. He worked one summer in the Dry Mill while attending college and does have pleural plaque. In 1976 Gary returned to Libby and joined his father in their retail clothing business. His father Don Robert died in 1981 and Gary closed the business in 1989. Having lived in Libby most of his life, Gary decided to become a Medical Insurance Agent and has done that for 14 years. He enjoys visiting people in their homes and providing Medicare related plans to them. Gary's interest in medical care and his concern for the people in Libby lead to his involvement on the CARD Board.

Marianne Roose
Marianne is an active community member and currently serves as the Lincoln District #3 County Commissioner, an office she has maintained for nine years. She is on the State of Montana Tobacco Prevention Advisory Board, the State of Montana County Printing Board, and the Flathead/Lincoln/Sanders Chemical Dependency Board. She is also involved with the Area VI Council on Aging, the Lincoln County Council on Aging, and the annual Louise Burk Memorial/Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon. Her hobbies include crocheting, gardening, sewing, and making cards, but she says her favorite job of all is being a grandmother.

Dave Stephenson
Dave retired after 34 years in the education business from Libby Public Schools. While employed with Libby Public Schools, he served as Administrator. In addition to being involved with the CARD, he is active in the Libby Masons group and was involved in the initial grant procedure for the Community Health Center. Dave was born and raised here in Libby and is the second generation of his family to be so. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, golf, making log furniture, and playing basketball.

Mary Tevebaugh
Mary retired from the Salish Kootenai College in 2002 after working there for 13 years. Her positions at the college included: Early Childhood Development instructor and lead teacher (also publishing an infant curriculum, ”Circle of the Infant“); Darcy McNickle Library, and assistant librarian. Mary also worked for the Kootenai National Forest for six years. Between regular jobs she took a couple of years to travel, paint and work in such places as Jackson Hole, Yellowstone Park, Oregon, Hawaii and Tennessee. Mary has five children and is a grandmother and great grandmother. Mary served two years as Secretary to the LATAG and is Vice President of the Libby Area Fine Arts group. She is also on the Community Asbestos Memorial Committee.
